Pumpkin Spice Up Your Library

Some new stuff, some odds and ends that might’ve slipped through the cracks, and some stuff you might not have heard of yet. Some stuff from legends, some from vets, some from up-and-comers. This collection of tunes has no rhyme, reason, or theme, just some randos we’ve been feeling.

1. NxWorries – What More Can I Say

This record is so good that I basically just threw a dart at the tracklist to pick a song for the post. Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge link for an album full of soulful meditations on scumbaggery over Donuts-esque beat tape perfection. “What More Can I Say” is an apologetic ballad about infidelity that’s smooth enough to forgive his cheating ways while understanding how he finds trouble in the first place.

2. Gucci Mane – At Least A M

Gucci Mane is fresh out of the feds, fully clean, sober, and focused. He plans to release 3 more albums and a book by the end of 2017, so it’s perfectly understandable why he doesn’t have time to associate with anyone who’s associates don’t have at least a million dollars, as stated on this standout off Everybody Lookin released earlier this year.

3. Drake – Fake Love

Last time Drake dropped a diss track and another random song on OVO radio, the loosey was “Hotline Bling.” Expect to hear “Fake Love” all over the radio for many months to come (perhaps it’ll be played out by the time this is published, but as of writing it’s brand new).

4. Nebu Kinza – Gassed Up

Earworm alert. Nebu Kiniza is smiling throughout this whole video. With the syrupy sweet melody and instantly memorable hook, the song makes the smile pretty contagious.

5. Lil Peep – OMFG

Lil Peep is like your favorite emo warped tour heartthrob wailing over brick wall kick drums of modern lo-fi rap aesthetics. The genre-defying Goth Boi Clique member screams over a Nedarb Nagrom beat (the two previously teamed up for an excellent project called California Girls) lamenting about suicidal thoughts, drugs, and face tats.
